The town hall consists of a Gothic part with the town hall tower, which was built between 1250 and 1400, and the front part, which was added between 1572 and 1578. Both parts were connected by an atrium. The breathtaking view from the observation deck of the town hall tower is highly recommended. Every single one of the 220 steps is worthwhile for this.
The 3.4 km long city wall runs around the entire old town of Rothenburg. Today 43 gate and wall towers adorn the entire fortification. Interesting details and explanations can be found at 22 stations along the tower path.
The Burggarten is a pretty oasis of calm from the 17th / 18th century with a beautiful view of the Taubertal.
