Hotel Sonne is located in the center of Rothenburg ob der Tauber.
From here you can easily explore our beautiful old town with all its sights by foot.
Numerous cafés and boutiques invite you to stroll around
and for a little break in between, the shady castle garden is not far.
Please note that the access to the city may be restricted in some areas .
Some little alleys are just to small. However horses may fit :)
Directions
Our small old town Hotel Sonne is located in Rothenburg's pedestrian zone. No access is possible here.
Our approach is at the rear building "Brudergässchen 3". The best way to come is via Kapellenplatz, past the Sparkasse, right into Brudergässchen (corner of the milk market street).
We are happy to offer you a parking space for a fee, up on availability. Please ask for this in advance since, there are only few spaces in our garage. Our garage is located at Kapellenplatz 14. Just a few steps away from the hotel. E charging stations are available in the garage, for a fee.
By car
Enter "Rothenburg ob der Tauber" into your navigation system and "Brudergässchen 3".
You can reach Rothenburg via the A7 highway, Würzburg - Ulm. Take exit 108 "Rothenburg / Tauber". From here it is only 2 km to the old town.
Follow the signs to “Stadtmitte” and drive through the “Galgentor” (also called Würzburger Tor) into Galgengasse.
At the end of the street after the second gate, turn directly left into the milk market, drive past the Sparkasse and turn right into Brudergässchen 3. The access area of the hotel is in the Brudergässchen!
By train
From Würzburg or Ansbach, you can easily take the regional train to Rothenburg. From the train station you can reach us by foot after approx. 800 meters. We recommand to reserve a taxi in advance.
